The beaches on peaceful Maio island are beautiful and very often deserted. Visitors come to Maio because it offers peace and quiet with lovely beaches and azure blue waters. This photograph was taken to the west of the pier in Vila do Maio (Porto Inglês). The timbers in the picture are the remains of the old pier. Visit Maio for that peaceful, ‘get away from it all’ holiday.
