TUI flights from Amsterdam to Cape Verde

Flights to Cape Verde have been very much reduced over the past 12 months. Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic TUI were one of the main airlines flying into the country, especially to Sal and Boa Vista. The suspension of flights has had a severe effect on the Cape Verdean economy.

On Friday 16 April 2021, TUI once again started flights from Amsterdam into Cape Verde. The Director of Tourism and Transport, Francisco Martins welcomed the arrival of the TUI flight in person. There are now two flights a week, one going to Praia (Santiago) and one to São Vicente. This is hoped to herald the start of tourists returning to this beautiful country. TUI has been flying to Sal from Poland recently and their timetable shows flights from the UK to both Sal and Boa Vista starting in mid-May.

Over recent years the popularity of Cape Verde as a holiday destination had been growing. It is hoped once people are free to travel that the tourists will return again in large numbers. Cape Verde has so much to offer its guests – beautiful beaches, majestic mountains, fabulous weather and friendly people. Hopefully these flights from Amsterdam will encourage people to plan their next holiday.
