BestFly Cabo Verde now has two planes for the inter-island routes. This additional plane will improve the internal transportation in the long term. It can carry up to 72 passengers and will share the routes with the existing plane. However, there is no immediate plan to increase the number of flights. Passenger traffic will need to return to pre-Covid levels so that planes are not flying almost empty.
The company is also looking to purchase two smaller planes (Twin Otter). These smaller planes seat 19 people and would be used for patient transportation and on the smaller, less profitable routes such as to the islands of Maio, Fogo and São Nicolau.
